A project born from the collaboration between Colnaghi of London, Sala Parés and Artur Ramon Art

Spanish Modern Landscapes is an exhibition born from the collaboration between Colnaghi (London), Sala Parés and Artur Ramon Art. Inaugurated in the London gallery in March, the exhibition arrives at the Artur Ramon Art gallery in Barcelona at the end of the year.

Spanish Modern Landscapes wants to show the evolution of Spanish landscape painting throughout the 20th century. The mission of this project is to internationalize and spread our visual culture beyond our borders. From the first romantic travelers to the latest globalized tourists, traveling to Spain has been synonymous with celebrating life through our landscape and its people. The artists have concentrated this nature in the landscape, capturing both the explosion of light and color of the Mediterranean coast and the melancholy of sunsets inland. Visiting the exhibition we present is a mental and emotional journey through our country through its artists. An exploration of modern Spanish painting – little known outside the borders – through the landscape, one of the genres that best represent it. And it is also, beyond the common places, a vindication of modern Spanish art.
