Visage, a ceramic plate by Pablo Picasso, conceived in 1956 and produced in a limited edition at the Madoura workshop, executed in white earthenware with a relief composition of a stylised face. The work encapsulates Picasso’s interest in ceramics as a medium uniting painting, sculpture, and functional object, within a production defined by formal reduction and the influence of Mediterranean folk traditions. Through three-dimensional surfaces and essential iconography, the artist explored new spatial possibilities connected to Cubist language.
