Josep María Subirachs has been one of the greatest multidisciplinary artists of the 20th century in Spain. Known above all as a sculptor, his most famous works are the monumental ones, created for public and private places. However the artist produced a large amount of sculptures in medium and small format, in series or unique pieces, emblematic of his style. Characterized by the contrast and juxtaposition of different forms and materials, the works in the fund of the Artur Ramon Art gallery are a representative analogy of each stage in his life.
