This oil painting on table was executed in 1893 during a trip to Mallorca with Raimon Casellas, the doctor Font i Torné, Frederic Gomis and Genís Muntaner. On the island, the Catalan artist painted works in which the capture of light was their main objective. Likewise, we can confirm that this pictorial work is part of the blue stage of Rusiñol. Despite the impact of light, the bluish effect prevails, which he later transferred to his numerous works, already in full symbolism. This octagonal table, signed by the artist in the lower right corner, features a view of Palma Cathedral. In a close-up we see the breakwater from where the oil was painted. Next, the painter places different sailors to finally show the view of the façade of the Cathedral of Mallorca itself.
