  Regarding the composition of this work, it is divided into two different parts. On the right side is what would correspond to the genre scene: a series of characters represented in an urban landscape, a cafe next to the Grand Canal in Venice, in front of the Doges Palace. On the left side, the artist expresses his talent for the representation of urban landscape, with the representation of the Grand Canal and in the background, the Basilica of Santa María della Salute. Ramírez Ibáñez made the previous year, in 1883, a composition similar in many aspects but of much larger dimensions.
