- Exceptional table in chiseled, molded and gilded bronze, adorned with a plaster top
Oblong in shape, it rests on cylindrical section legs with raised rings. The legs appear joined together by curved crossbars that adapt to them using cubic pieces. The frame that houses the board is decorated with geometric motifs of classical inspiration. The polychrome plaster board presents on the outside a dark border that describes a branch with small leaves, a second band in blues, yellows and reds of floral and vegetable garlands on a light background. In the center, a rectangle and two rhombuses house human and animal figures taken from the ancient repertoire.
He was goldsmith to Napoleon I and the two empresses; His works made of bronze and silver were sold at court, and were generally executed according to Percier's designs.
