  This series explores the motifs of the chthonian character of the ground, by playing with terrestrial materials, shapes, and forms. Craters in their circular form both restrain and liberate the artistic expression, opening various possibilities to the artist: the circles give a fixed limit, but limits can be moved, rearranged, and traversed likewise. It goes without mention that Rojo, with his intense interest in the earthly and unusual inherited from the informal and abstract expressionist masters, finds this geographical feature inspiring, awakening the curiosity for artistic exploration.
