From March 12 to 19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For our forthcoming participation in TEFAF Maastricht,<\/strong> we will present a carefully curated selection<\/strong> that reflects the diverse and layered identity of our gallery, spanning from the medieval period to the 20th century.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights will be a 14th-century alabaster Virgin from the Workshop of Sant Joan de les Abadesses<\/strong>, preserving original traces of polychromy. It will be presented in dialogue with decorative arts objects traditionally associated with offerings to the Virgin Mary. A magnificent 17th-century Mallorcan table<\/strong> will preside over the stand, serving as a pedestal for an exquisite group of Talavera ceramics from the Monastery of El Escorial. Fifteenth-century Manises jars and plates, small caskets, 18th-century glass, painted marbles, and small sculptures <\/strong>will be arranged to evoke a Renaissance Wunderkammer<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In painting, the presentation will feature an oil painting by Jos\u00e9 de Ribera<\/strong>, alongside modern masterpieces including a 19th-century still life by the French artist Th\u00e9odule-Augustin Ribot<\/strong>, an early-20th-century work by Ramon Casas<\/strong>, a small-format oil by Joaqu\u00edn Sorolla<\/strong>, and a large-scale work by Miquel Barcel\u00f3<\/strong> from the 1990s, among other pieces by Nonell, Mir, Madrazo,<\/strong> and Anglada-Camarasa<\/strong>. The language of iron will emerge in a poetic and abstract form through a sculpture by Eduardo Chillida<\/strong> from the 1950s, which will enter into dialogue with Pablo Picasso\u2019s Grand vase aux femmes<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
